We were never meant to be an agency

In 2014, we were just an Instagram page called Coffee ’n Clothes —fashion, coffee, and a shared sense that people wanted more than just content. The posts became meetups, the meetups became pop-ups, and the pop-ups turned into something harder to define: spaces people felt something in. We realized then that when you put people first and design accordingly, brands can create lasting, emotional experiences.

CNC was born from that idea. We don’t separate the physical from the digital, the strategy from the execution, or the idea from the logistics. People don’t experience life in silos, so we don’t build that way either. From creative to production, CNC is fully end-to-end and fully obsessed with how real people feel and engage in the real world.

Putting people first also means our internal culture is a little unconventional. Our team works across time zones and cities, wherever they do their best thinking. We prioritize trust and autonomy, and it shows in the quality of our work. Sure, we do the dinners and offsites, but just as important is the freedom to log off early, the space to create, and the sense of shared ownership.

At our core, CNC is about making work that matters. Not just for the sake of the work, but for what it moves people toward. We put people first. We design accordingly. And the rest flows from there.

Fast forward to today. What started as an Instagram hashtag has grown into one of the fastest-growing companies in the world.
